30 Days of Creativity (Day 12) Abe Lincoln

Yes, believe it or not, Stampin’ Up! have made an Abe Lincoln stamp. As you can see, it is an old stamp, well retired by now. I had to laugh! Is there anything they haven’t thought of?

As an Aussie, today’s inspiration for me was a little difficult! I know who Abe Lincoln was and that he was an American President. I also know he had an awesome beard and he wore a hat. On a need to know basis, all my other knowledge will be found on Wikipedia. 🙂

I decided that today’s creation would be inspired by patriotic American colours and feature a hat of some description.

My card transformed into a birthday card as I went along. My little owl is too cute for words, I do love him!

What a hoot!
